This page explains how to delete your ASAP Safety account and associated personal data. You can delete from inside the app, or send us an email request if you no longer have access to your device or app.

Request account deletion from the web
To start a deletion request without using the app, email us at contact@asapsafety.nl from the email address linked to your ASAP Safety account. If you registered with a phone number or username, include that too so we can find and verify your account.
- Use the subject line Account deletion request.
- Do not send your password or verification codes.
- We will verify your identity before deleting the account.
- After verification, your account and associated personal data are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Delete from the app
Open ASAP Safety
Make sure you are logged into the account you want to delete.
Open your menu or profile settings
Go to the account or settings area where your profile and privacy options are shown.
Choose Delete account
Scroll to the account section and tap Delete account.
Confirm deletion
Confirm the warning dialog to permanently delete your account. This action cannot be undone.

What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days:
Your profile
Name, email, username, phone number and profile photo.
Location data
SOS and check-in location data associated with your account.
Safety Circles
Circle memberships, owned circles and contact relationships.
Push tokens
Device notification tokens used for safety alerts.
Session history
Records of past SOS sessions and check-ins linked to your account.
Requests and invites
Open contact requests and circle invitation references linked to you.

Retention notes
Account data is deleted within 30 days after verification. Anonymised analytics that cannot identify you may be retained to improve the app. If we are legally required to retain limited records for security, fraud prevention or compliance, we will explain what is retained and for how long where required.
Contacts who had you in their Safety Circle may see that you are no longer available, but your personal account data will no longer remain visible to them after deletion.
